Peat is a brown deposit resembling soil, formed by slow accumulation of vegetation debris in wetlands under cool, moist and oxygen poor conditions over years this soil developed to be a peat deposit (bog) .Peat deposit be forms in very slow rate ranges from 0.5 to1 mm per year.

Peat producers normally open draining channels in the peat deposits and years after it get dry they start harvesting, drying, screening and packing the peat soil in different packing type

Type of peat normally is depending to the original botanical component and its state of decomposition.

The color of the peat commonly reflects its age and degree of decomposition. The younger peat is more yellow – brown color   and light weight but as much it more dark it mean more age and by that more decomposed material and high density. Black peat is the older material with high decomposition rate; high weight density and it normally very fine structure.
